House with Many Volumes

This hillside residence for a couple who travel far, wide and frequently, merges contemporary architecture with hilltown imagery.  The building’s volumes form a composition of contrasting elements. Two discreet structures, the main living quarters and a detached garage with a live-in apartment, are organized around a specimen stone pine to create an outdoor room and motor court.
