Hilltop House
Built at the top of a hill, this house bridges several distinct architectural traditions. The long single gable form references the 1897 ‘Shingle Style’ Lowe House by McKim Mead and White, while the exposed steel columns, and sliver-shaped entry hall are distinctly modern concepts. Materials include mahogany countertops in the kitchen, locally milled red oak floors and locally quarried green slate.
