Located in downtown Chicago, the Corner Bakery was a prototype for a chain of bakery shops. Fashioned after Vesuvio Bakery, the facade brings human scale and pedestrian life to a barren sidewalk space common to high-rise streetscapes. The façade was articulated over the existing clear glass of a modern building to bring scale and detail to the design. . A Buttrick Wong Principal served as Lead Designer for this project while employed a BAR Architects.
